I did an interview with Mike Michalowicz, the author of this book and I have to tell you that I really loved the concepts presented and that whole mindset shift when it comes to managing your money in your business. I have personally incorporated some of these ideas and they do work!

Mike Michalowicz talks about how to pay yourself first and manage your business accounts to ensure that you achieve profitability.Too many business owners are left with very little to show after investing and bringing in very good sales. Because of his writing style, you’ll definitely enjoy reading this while getting gorgeously tanned on the beach!

#3  Think and Grow Rich

This book was written in 1937 by Napoleon Hill and has been a best seller of all time ever since. Hill spent over 20 years studying over 500 of the most successful people of that time, including Andrew Carnegie, Ford and Edison. I love how this book brings real life examples of how some of the world’s most successful people used desire and focused intention to achieve their goals.

Many successful organizations encourage their sales team to read this book and has been credited for inspiring the success of some of the top performers in the world today. This is a book of instruction and gives 13 actionable steps that you can implement to start making shifts in your life and business.

#4  Outliers: The Story of Success

I started reading this book recently and though I have not completed it yet, it’s really a great read looking at why some people achieve exceptional results in almost every area of life including health while the majority around them do not. It studies the exceptions (Outliers) and analyzes the source of their results.

The author, Malcolm Gladwell says that it is not the brightest who succeeds. Often society focuses on the intellect and personality traits of successful people, on the other hand, he says we should look at the world that surrounds them e.g. Culture, family, etc. This book presents provocative ideas tied to real life stories and could be a great read over your holidays.

#5  As a Man Thinketh

Top performers like Anthony Robbins have credited this James Allen book for changing his life. What I realize about this book is that it’s always a great idea to read it and read it again and maybe again. The book explores the power of thought and how it shapes our reality.

Allen says if we learn to master our thoughts we can create the life that we truly desire. Whatever you focus on, you will create. So if there is anything in your life that you are experiencing and don’t want, then you need to change your thoughts.

As I have always encouraged, everything that we experience is as a result of our own mindset. Even though you may have read some of these books or many others before, it’s always a great idea to take a refresher.

I hope you find these books enlightening and I hope your summer is filled with sunshine, play and renewed optimism!
